Plan your visit ahead with these options and enjoy your stay in the Corner Country. If taking the western route along the unsealed sections of the tour please heed the safety advice that is given in the Corner Safety section of this website.

Run by Melissa and William Thomson the Family Hotel was also built in 1882. It was once used as the Cobb and Co network base but today is well known for the famous outback murals painted by Clifton Pugh, Russell Drysdale and others.

Known locally as the Two Storey Hotel, the Tibooburra Hotel is an iconic outback hotel with a bar inlaid in gold! Built in 1882, it is the oldest surviving hotel in Tibooburra, with great meals and accommodation.

Operated by the Tibooburra Local Aboriginal Land Council the reserve camping ground is located two minutes south of town. Just follow the emus. There are hot showers, septic toilets and a gas barbecue. Pets and campfires are permitted.
There is a walking track to an historic Aboriginal burial ground, shelter shed with tables and interpretive signage regarding the Aboriginal culture and heritage of the Corner Country.

Formerly the Bush Children’s War Memorial Hostel this important community building has been thoughtfully refurbished to accommodate guests in comfort. Tibooburra Village Committee Inc oversees this facility and grounds on behalf of the community. Income feeds back into the community for this and other great community projects.

Located adjacent to the Milparinka Heritage Precinct the Milparinka caravan park is a spacious and secure caravan park of more than one hectare. There are eight powered sites, around 20 surveyed sites in total and several primitive camping sites.
Features of the Milparinka Caravan and Camping include two separate ablution areas, a new camp kitchen, fire-pits and a private motorhome dump point.
Guests need to book in at the Milparinka VIC before making their way to the caravan park.

The Milparinka Hotel is a historic hotel built in 1882 and has traded almost continuously since that time. It sits at the junction of the Sturt’s Steps Touring route just a short distance off the Silver City Highway and is operated by Rebecca Young and her crew.
The hotel can also be accessed from the airstrip with a taxi-way almost to the door.
Today the hotel offers accommodation for families and individuals in some of its original hotel rooms, as well as motel type accommodation in adjoining buildings.
Meals at the hotel are generous, the beer is cold and the company enjoyable.
Packsaddle Roadhouse is a must-visit roadhouse owned and operated by Mia and Arnie Degumois. It is located on the Silver City Highway, 175 kilometres north of Broken Hill.
With great meals, friendly staff and fabulous bar and dining areas, no one leaves Packsaddle Roadhouse disappointed.
Accommodation is available in cabins and there is space for caravans as well.
Cameron Corner Store is located at the junction of South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales, Cameron Corner and is a feature of the Sturt’s Steps touring route.
In 1990 Sandy Nall established a general store on the Queensland side of the border. Today it is an iconic outback destination.
Accommodation includes basic motel rooms, and plenty of camping space.
Good food and cold drinks, and a 9 holed golf course complete the attractions.

Along or adjacent to the Silver City Highway
Nundora Station is located 14 km from the Silver City Highway on the Wonnaminta Road (south of Packsaddle). With camping places and shearers’ quarters accommodation Nundora is a perfect spot to call into on the way to Corner Country from Broken Hill or White Cliffs.
Station touring, bush walking and birdwatching are all features of this property as well as one of Burke and Wills campsites.

Mount Gipps Station is a sheep meat property owned by the Maiden family, and is located on the Sturt’s Steps touring route 40km north of Broken Hill. Accommodation options include private cottages, caravan sites, shearers’ quarters and camping. The property is perfect for bushwalking, star gazing, film and fauna and flora.

Pine View Station is located 180 km North of Broken Hill on Sturt’s Steps Touring Route.
It is owned and operated by the Lacey family, and is an organic sheep and cattle property which joins South Australia along the wild dog fence.
Sturt’s expedition campsites on Flood’s Creek is located on Pine View Station.

Pimpara Lake Station is owned by the Sandow family and is a sheep and cattle property located on Sturt’s Steps touring route. It is also accessible from the Silver City Highway via Sanpah Road.
An ephemeral lake on the Packsaddle Creek makes a perfect water-front camping area. Accommodation is also available in shearers’ quarters.
Activities include bush walking, bird watching, photography and station touring.

Pincally Station is owned by the Gale family and is a sheep and cattle property located 70 kilometres south of Milparinka on the Sturt’s Steps touring Route. It can also be accessed from the Silver City Highway via the Mount Arrowsmith Road.

Theldarpa Station is owned by the Sandow Family and is a sheep and cattle property located around 50 kilometres west of Milparinka on the Hawker Gate Road.
Theldarpa only offers primitive camping on a seasonal basis.

The Park has four campgrounds, each nestled in their distinct landscape. Dead Horse Gully is about two kilometres north of Tibooburra. Mount Wood campground is 27 km east. Olive Downs campground is 55 km north and Fort Grey campground is 120 km west. Pets and fires not permitted. Park entry and camp fees apply.

Located near the town of Tibooburra Dead Horse Gully is surrounded by huge granite boulders that look like a pile of giant marbles which provide a dramatic and beautiful backdrop for a great outback camping experience.
It’s a well-equipped campground, with free barbecues and picnic tables.
Explore Corner Country and the outback of Sturt National Park from Fort Grey campground. Suitable for caravans and motorhomes, there are a couple of great walks nearby.
