Join writer and presenter, Neil Pigot as he retraces the journey of Charles Sturt, who opened up the Corner Country to European settlement in the 1800s. Armed with Sturt’s meticulous maps, drawings, journals and news articles from the day, and fascinated by Sturt’s famous quest for the fabled inland sea, Neil travels from Adelaide to Cameron Corner and back.
The result is an epic series that will leave you itching to pack your bags and take the Sturt’s Steps Touring Route to Milparinka and Tibooburra to experience this amazing place for yourself and see first-hand what Sturt was faced with, and why he nearly didn’t make it back at all.
