Between the Milparinka Heritage Precinct and Evelyn Creek is a recently surveyed, spacious and secure caravan park of more than one hectare. Efforts are being made to create a environmentally responsible and sustainable area with solar power on new Precinct installations and recycled water where practical.
The formal parking bays are randomly separated by native garden beds and comprise eight powered sites and 12 unpowered sites on level parking areas.
To the south is an area of “primitive” camping sites where guests may choose their own site.
Gravel roads are single-direction only (clockwise) other than the access road to the dump point.
Check-in is at the Milparinka Visitor Centre at the Courthouse. Fees are $25 for a powered site, per night, $20 for unpowered sites.
A caretaker is onsite most of the time, as are volunteers at the Precinct and will be available to assist.
Dogs on a lead are welcome but owners need to be responsible for cleaning up messes, and other guests and onsite volunteers must be respected at all times.
Guests are discouraged from arriving late and leaving early, or from making a mad dash out and a big mess if it rains.
Features of the Milparinka Caravan and Camping include:
Please note that there is no potable water available at the Precinct. All onsite water is untreated dam or bore water.
